Menning, Genevieve (Marriage - 26 June 1948)

The Globe Lutheran Church was the scene June 26 (1948) at 2:00 p.m., of the wedding of Miss Genevieve Menning, daughter of Albert Menning and Mrs. Roy Parker of Neillsville, and Clarence Ziegler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Ziegler of Willard. The Rev. Mr. Schumann performed the double ring ceremony, in the presence of 40 guests.

A reception for 50 guests was held at the home of the groom’s parents, after which the couple left for a wedding trip through southern Wisconsin and Chicago. They returned to their farm home in Willard July 4.

Out-of-town guests included Mrs. Fred Hoffmann and daughter, Mrs. Fred Babbe and son, all of Durwood, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Ziegler, Nick and George Ziegler, all of Wausau; and Mrs. Ann Placky and Bill Hoffmann, of Berwyn, Ill.
