Abbotsford Woman Wins Menu Prize
The Wisconsin Press Association is highly gratified at the splendid response given the Dairy Menu Contest, which it sponsored in co-operation with the weekly papers of the state. The contest closed last Saturday.
The winner of the first prize, an electric stove, was Jane Farwell, 16 year old Dodgeville girl. She will also get a free trip to the Wisconsin State Fair Aug. 22 to the 29 and will receive an electric taster.
All firs place winners in each group win a trip to the fair and an electric toaster and second and third place winners get electric toasters, supplied by the Department of Agriculture and Markets.
Winner in the Central group of the Wisconsin Press Association, of which the Abbotsford Tribune is a member, are a follows: First, Mr. Gusta Zrutskie, Route 1, Abbotsford, Mr. Lin Suits, Medford, and third, Mr. Max Eiban, Medford.
Home Bakery Remodeled
The Home Bakery, operated by Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Rees, has been remodeled and rearranged. A new oven and a bread slicer have been installed and the entire bakery equipment is now located on the main floor, making a modern and sanitary bake shop.
Democrats Will Meet At Greenwood August 21
Clark County Democrats and other interested in the Democratic cause will hold a meeting at Volks Hall at 8 o’clock Friday evening, Aug 21. This will be an important meeting.
