Curtiss, Wis. - July 26, 1956
The Helping Hand Society will hold their annual picnic on Friday, July 27, on the lawn of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peterson.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Schiszik of Chicago visited the past week with his mother, Mrs. Ida Schiszik, and son, Lionel.
Mr. and Mrs. Varian Fakes and daughters of Beloit are spending their vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Fakes.
Art Thompson and John Lokken attended the last day of the American Legion State Convention at Eau Claire on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Grant Herrick attended the funeral of her brother, Howard Crawford, at Couderay, Wis., on Friday.
Mrs. Julia Nedrum of Stanley is visiting her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fredrickson, this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Laabs and family left Saturday for Bay City, Mich., where they will visit their brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Pease, before continuing to Chicago and other points.
Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Koerner drove to Ripon Saturday to visit their son, Clarence Koerner, on Sunday. They all drove to Milwaukee to see the Braves game.
Mrs. Harold Reishus and Mrs. A. M. Erickson drove to Ames, Ia., to visit their son John Reishus, a student at Ames College and Mr. and Mrs. John Erickson and daughters.
Mrs. E. M. Peterson and sister, Mrs. Ida Peterson, left Monday for Madison to visit the former’s son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Peterson. They will also visit their nephews and nieces, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Graham at Poliet, Ill., and Rev. and Mrs. Gordon Sorenson, at Lowell, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Laabs and sons accompanied by Julie and Mark Hermanson, and the children’s aunt, Beatrice Jakel, who spent the past two months with them, to their home in Brook, Ind. The Laabs’ will continue their vacation in other points from there.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peterson and sons attended a Farmers Union Picnic at Stanley Sunday.
