Mrs. Anthony L. Schemmer vacationed at Woodruff over the week-end.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schuh of Shawano spent the week-end here with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kesteloot, Jr., of Delta, spent Thursday at the W. Sossaman home.
Mr. and Mrs. George Kowalk and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Wolk spent the week-end at Turtle Lake.
Mrs. Rose Oncken, who suffered a heart attack at her home Saturday, is receiving treatments at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hildebrand and children of Muskegon, Mich., are spending this week with her mother, Mrs. Laura Frane.
Mr. and Mrs. Everett Mossing and two sons of West Bend spent the week-end with the former’s mother, Mrs. Claudia Mossing.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kautzer of Sheboygan visited last week at the Wm. Sachse home and with other relatives in this vicinity.
Mrs. Louise Young, Mrs. William Young, Sr., and children, Carol and Louis, Sr., spent several days this week at the state fair in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Ed Zillmann returned to her home in Colby after visiting ten days at Marinette with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lein, and two children.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Weigman and daughter of Chicago, Ill., are guests this week at the home of the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Weigman.
William Marquardt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marquardt, returned home Friday after receiving his discharge. He served two years in the U.S. army, 15 months of which were in Germany.
Guests of Mrs. Anthony L. Schemmer on August 15th were: Mrs. Adrian Vernig and Mrs. Sturner of Granton, Mrs. John Grescher and Mrs. Frank Seifzer of Owen and Mrs. Bartlett of Spencer.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Ketterl and daughter, Carole Lou, of Marshfield returned from a trip to the Black Hills, the Bad Lands, Yellowstone Park, points of interest in western states, the western coast, and Canada. Mrs. Ketterl is third grade teacher at the Colby Graded School.
Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Kraus were their daughters and families, Mrs. S. E. Zavala and children of Chicago, who is spending the summer in Colby, Mrs. Stanley Morales and children of Chicago, who are spending the summer in Edgar, and Mrs. Douglas Rifleman of Edgar.
Saturday evening dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Frome were Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Neuhaus and daughter, Virginia, of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. William Gerlack of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. Otto Koeppen and daughter, Nola, and Louis F. Frome of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Frome and daughter, Donalee, of Beaver Bay, Minn.
