Henchen, Bruno (18 May 1854 - 19 July 1948)

Bruno Henchen, 94, died Monday, July 19, (1948), at his home in Neillsville. Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock at the Georgas Funeral Home, the Rev. N. J. Dechant, minister of the Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiating. Burial took place in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Mr. Henchen was born May 18, 1854, in Germany. He came to the United States at the age of 24, and lived for 46 years in the Town of Weston. He had lived in Neillsville for the last 24 years.

Mr. Henchen is survived by three daughters and three sons: Miss Clara Henchen of Neillsville; Mrs. John (Freda) Martins of Neillsville; Mrs. Joe (Elsie) Turenne of Thorp; Arnold and Clarence Henchen of Neillsville; and Erwin Henchen of Princeton, Minn. Another son, Ewald Henchen, died in 1943. Mr. Henchen’s wife died in 1934.

Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
