Berthold, Morris Herman (7 February 1898 - 28 June 1948)
Morris Herman Berthold, 50, of the Town of Seif, died Monday, June 28, 1948 at his farm home, after an illness of two years. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2:00 p.m. at the Georgas Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mr. Berthold was born February 7, 1898, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Berthold, in the Town of Grant, and was brought up and educated there. He was occupied in farming all his life.
In 1924, he married Miss Celia Clintsman, who survives him, as does the four children of the marriage, Larraine, Leonard, Donald and Victor, who are all living at home. His mother, Mrs. Louise Berthold is living, and he is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Harvey (Minnie) Grap of Neillsville, and two brothers, Walter and Edward, of the Town of Seif. Two brothers and one sister predeceased Mr. Berthold.

Funeral Services for Morris Herman Berthold, of the Town of Seif, who died June 28, (1948), were held July 1 at 2:00 o’clock, from the Georgas Funeral Home. Miss Hilda Blaue and Miss Lillian Frandle, evangelistic workers were in charge of the services.
Pallbearers were George Topinka, James Topinka, Arthur Topinka, Alvin Brotherton, William Dollase and Louis Scholze. George James and Arthur Topinka sang three selections: "God’s Word is so Pure," "Beyond the Sunset," and "Fading, Yes Fading," accompanied by Miss Lillian Frandle. Burial took place in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
From out of town came Mr. and Mrs. Fred Clintsman, Mrs. Ellen Clintsman, Warren Barnett, Mrs. Vivian Kopnick and daughter, Karla, and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Clintsman, all of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Rasmussen, Mrs. Anna Jacobson, Orville Dimler and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Degner, all of Marshfield; Inez Clintsman of Gilman; Rachel Brager of Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. William Wepfer of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fritsche of Fairchild; Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Scholze, Louis Scholze of Humbird; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Accola and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Turner of Pittsville; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gehres and daughter, Lois of Auburndale; and the Misses Anna and Emma Gehres and Mrs. Etta Gehres, of Granton.
