Mechelke, Bonnie Lou (Marriage - 27 June 1970)
Miss
Bonnie Lou Mechelke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Mechelke of Rt. 2 Loyal,
was united in marriage to Jerome J. Becker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Becker
of Rt. 1 Greenwood, Saturday at 12:30 at ceremonies in St. Anthony’s Catholic
Church in Loyal. Msgr. Norbert King performed the double ring ceremony in the
presence of 200 guests.
The bride was attired in a Chantilace and tulle
bouffant gown and wore a chapel train full from the shoulders. A pearl and
crystal crown held the illusion veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses,
miniature white carnations and stephanotis, as she was escorted to the altar by
her father.
Miss Arlene Mechelke was maid-of-honor. Avis Becker and Lois
Becker were bridesmaids. They wore aqua chiffon over peau, straight with a
café-effect dresses, with venise lace trim down the sides, neckline and sleeves.
Cabbage rose headpieces, rimmed in pearls held their veils. They carried ball
bouquets of pompons and miniature pink roses.
James Becker was bestman.
Arnold Becker and William Pagelsdorf were groomsmen. Jack Mechelke and Alan
Becker were ushers.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s
parents, with 200 guests attending.
The bride graduated from Loyal High
School in 1967 and is employed in Spencer. The groom graduated from the same
high school in 1963 and is employed in Marshfield.
After a wedding trip
into Michigan the couple will make their home at 513 North Cedar, Marshfield.
