Ewert, Emma Paulina (9 Sept. 1881 - 8 Sept. 1956)
Mrs. Charles F. Ewert, pioneer resident of Unity, Wisconsin, died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Saturday afternoon a day before her 74th birthday anniversary, a heart attack being the cause of her death. Funeral services were held at the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity, Rev. Claude Vander Stoep officiating, and internment was made in the parish cemetery.
Emma Paulina Voth was born on September 9, 1881, in the town of Unity where she continued to reside for seven years. She married Charles F. Ewert on April 17, 1901, at St. John’s Lutheran church north of Spencer. The couple farmed in the town of Brighton for 33 years, moving to Unity after their retirement in 1942.
Surviving are her husband; five children, Mrs. George (Linda) Strohman of Marshfield, Mrs. Irene Lynn and Edwin of Wausau, Myron of Plymouth and Walter at home; two sisters, Mrs. Alvina Wagner of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Anton Korntved of Unity; seven grand children and five great grand children.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter, and a sister, Mrs. Ida Korntved.
