Burns, Olga W. (20 April 1921 - 28 August 2008)

Olga W. Burns, 87, of Eau Claire formerly of Thorp departed from this life to be with her Lord on August 28, 2008.

Olga Figura was born to Eva and Theodore Figura on April 20, 1921, in Thorp. She married Frank Winiarczyk on May 14, 1938. They owned and operated the Ford Agency in Thorp for 30 years. Frank went to be with the Lord in 1982. In 1986 she married Mason Burns of Eau Claire.

Olga was a great, loving, hardworking, and caring person - to please, serve and love God was always first in her life and secondly to do the same for her family and friends. This was her greatest enjoyment in life along with being a devoted "stay-at-home mom" her entire life. What a profession! Her children as well as her grandchildren would be the first to say, "We’re blessed"! They knew that she had the right connection whenever they needed a prayer answered.

Olga is survived by her husband, Mason Burns, of Eau Clarie; four daughters: Lucille (the late Eugene) Raciborski of Phoenix, AZ, Darlene (Bernard) Burzynski of Thorp, Joyce (Michael) Senn of Bella Vista, AZ, and Cheryl (the late Michael Hilyar) of St. Paul, MN; two sons: Ronald (Francis) Winiarczyk of Clermont, FL and Robert (Paula) Winiarczyk of Douglasville, GA; one step-daughter, Barbara (James) Klenk of Plymouth, MN; two stepsons: Bill (Bonnie) Burns of Fresno, CA, and John (Lori) Burns of Delano, MN. Also two sisters: Mary Bronson of Chippewa Falls and Pearl Bergstrand of Tinley Park, IL. She had 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Winiarczyk; her parents; brothers: Alex, Peter and Paul Figura; and sisters: Ann, Celia and Helen.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Pentecostal Assembly Church in Eau Claire. Pastor Paul Bennett officiated. Burial took place at 5 p.m. on Sunday in the Riverside Cemetery in the Township of Hixon near Withee, WI. Friends called at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home Saturday evening, August 30, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. and at the church Sunday afternoon from 1 p.m. until the time of services.

Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
