In St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), Miss Lucille Schmitt, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Schmitt of Thorp, became the bride of Fred Dietsche of Abbotsford, on Saturday morning at 8:30 o’clock. The Rev. A. M. Muckerheide officiated.

The bride wore for her marriage a white entrained satin gown, redingote style. Her long v eil and the short blushing veil, held in place with seed pearls and orange blossoms, combine with lace gave the effect of a cap. Her bouquet was of white carnations, archilleas and yellow telluride roses. Her only ornament was a Miraculous medal, the gift of her mother on her wedding morning.

Miss Therese Schmitt, in a peach embroidered net with bolero, attended her sister as maid of honor. Miss Bernice Dietsche, sister of the bridegroom, in a frock of aqua embroidered net, was the bridesmaid. Both attendants wore matching shoulder veils with silver headdress and silver slippers. Their bouquets were of pink roses, forget-me-nots and gypsophilia.

Vincent Dietsche, brother of the groom, attended as best man. James Schmitt, brother of the bride, also attended the groom.

For the wedding ceremony an aisle of canvas was spread and white satin bows were attached to the pews. Two large baskets of peonies placed on the altar rails and vases of pink and white peonies on the altars completed the decorations.

Following the ceremony a reception was held and a 12:00 o’clock dinner was served to 28 guests at the home of the bride’s parents. The dining room was decorated in white peach and aqua. The centerpiece on the bridal table was a three tiered wedding cake, made and decorated by members of the bride’s family. The motif of the cake was a window box effect, green and aqua confectionery vines growing from confectionery widow boxes, with 32 pink roses, climbed up the cake to a miniature bride and groom on the top.

Among the out of town guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dietsche and family, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Dietsche, son Peter, daughters Darlene and Lorraine, Milan; Mr. and Mrs. William Schoch, son, Billy, daughter, Ann, and Miss Florence Dietsche, Stevens Point; Miss Rhea Colby, Unity; The Rev. C. D. Brady and Billy Krueger, Abbotsford, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Dietsche left on a wedding trip to Iowa. After July 1, they will be at home to their friends at Ladysmith, where the groom is employed by the Soo railroad. Before her marriage, the bride assisted in the Thorp Bakery, operated by her parents.
