Colby, Rhea (16 OCT 1939)
Miss Rhea Colby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Colby of Unity, became the bride of Felix Dietsche, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dietsche, during a nuptial high mass at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Monday morning at 8:30. The Rev. C. D. Brady read the mass and marriage service.
Baskets of fall flowers and vases of carnations were place on the communion rail and altar of the church.
The bride wore a street length frock of wine colored transparent velvet with matching hat. Her corsage was of yellow Talisman roses, ? and wine baby asters, and gypsophilia.
Two sisters of the groom attended the bride, Miss Bernice Dietsche, as maid of honor, and Miss Florence Dietsche of Stevens point as bridesmaid. Both wore transparent velvet of royal blue with matching hats and corsages similar to the bride’s in shades of peach.
The groom was attended by his brother Benjamin, as best man. Bert Colby of Unity, brother of the bride, was also the groom’s attendant.
Following the nuptial mass a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the groom’s parents. A wedding dinner was served to about 50 guests at the home of the bride’s parents, at Unity.
Streamers of wine and tan fastened by large white bell formed the dining room decorations.
In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Dietsche entertained their friends at a wedding dance at the Trianon.
After a week’s trip in Northern Wisconsin they will be at home to their friends in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), where Mr. Dietsche is employed on the section by the Soo Line.

Brill and son, Benjamin, Cherokee; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dietsche and children and Mrs. Cora Dietsche, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Dietsche and family, Milan; Mr. and Mrs. James Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lenard, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Allar, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sauter, the Misses Connie and June Lynn, Norman Flink and Mr. McKnight, all of Unity; and Mrs. Merle Domer of Riplinger.
