Dorst, Edythe Maurine (Marriage - 16 September 1948)
Miss Edythe Maurine Dorst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dorst of Stratford (formerly of Neillsville) spoke her marriage vows September 16, with James Walter Zepplin, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Zepplin of Stratford. The wedding took place in the Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church, Marshfield, and the Rev. Keenan Sheldon of River Falls, and the Rev. R. H., Browe, pastor of the church, officiated.
The bride was gowned in white taffeta, and wore elbow length lace mitts. Her fingertip veil of illusion was caught to a tiara of sequins. She carried white gladioli and pink roses.
Miss Patty Rae Dorst of Madison, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Junior bridesmaid was the bride’s sister, Miss Shelby Jean Dorst. Leslie Knudsen of River Falls was bestman. Ushers were William Browe and Floyd Pfahning, Marshfield.
A reception was held immediately after the ceremony in the church parlors, after which the young couple left for a wedding trip into northern Wisconsin.
Those who attended the wedding from Neillsville were Miss Jane Pepper and Mr. and Mrs. William Meihack.
