Johnson, Lila (Marriage - 1948)

The Methodist Church of Wittenburg was the recent scene of the wedding of Miss Lila Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orrie Johnson of Wittenberg, R2, and Franklin Schoen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schoen, Sr., of Neillsville. The Rev. Prust read the double ring wedding ceremony.

For her wedding the bride chose a gown of white chiffon designed with a wide lace sweetheart ruffle at the neckline. A high round chiffon yoke accented the fitted bodice. Her veil of illusion had matching lace and fell from a portrait bonnet headpiece. She carried a bouquet of gladioli and pom poms.

Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Leo Johnson, Ilene Frederickson, Irene Broatz, Edward Schoen and Gerald Cernik. Lorraine Johnson was the flower girl and Gary Schoen the ring bearer.

The couple is making their home in Milwaukee, where the groom is employed at the Nash-Kelvinator plant.

The bride is a graduate of the Tigerton High School and St. Agnes School of Nursing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The groom served four years in the army.
