Hansen,
Mr./Mrs. Elmer (Entertain - 23 JAN 1910)
Sunday morning a sleigh-load of
people drove out to the farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hansen, who are famous
entertainers, where they enjoyed the day and part of the evening immensely. As
they did not care to take the genial farmer entirely by surprise or cause too
much havoc in the generous man's larder, the party took along a goodly supply of
oysters, cake and other edibles, and it was a good thing they did, for the
songs, stories and laughter while driving the seven miles through the keen
winter air, aroused a most ravenous appetite, and it would not be fair to say
that they did not do justice to the elaborate dinner that was put before them.
Them, includes the following: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. F.W.
Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Carter, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Palms, Mr. and Mrs. J.
Volk, Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Thrapp, and Albert Schwarze. Mrs. Haglund and children
were also among the guests.
They returned home in the evening well
pleased with their outing and with Mr. and Mrs. Hansen as entertainers.
