The Freshmen are enjoying the illustrative work in Physiology.
The second
semester is running its course smoothly and peacefully.
Marion Hunt was
absent the first of the week on account of sickness.
The Sophomores are
now studying to supply Greenwood with bookkeepers.
Mesdames Upham, Burch
and Hendren were visitors in school last week.
The Seniors are fondly
following the course of "Hamlet", all the time wondering if he were insane.
Our first basketball game ended being defeated by Owen. The score was 14 to
30. Neither side showed very brilliant team work. The Owen Center was good at
field basket, while Roy Masters made himself famous in boosting up our scores
with free throws. The game however, was a success financially if not
numerically.
The Seniors have decided to depart from the general routine
of graduation by giving two class plays. Owing to the large number of persons in
the graduating class this year, it was found more suitable to give two plays
than one. Now since a valuable knowledge comes from composing the regular
articles, they have decided to publish an annual. The work is well under way and
each member of the class is doing his or her best to make it a success. As there
will be no exemptions of any member in either play or the annual, a happy time
is looked forward to.
