Mrs. Andy Christie had
a birthday party yesterday, Jan. 28. Her two daughters and families, Mr. and
Mrs. Ben Stanley, and Mr. and Mrs. Lew Shaw were there, and Mr. and Mrs. Willis
J. Armitage and son Lisle, the latter is a niece of Mrs. Christie, and a few of
her intimate friends and neighbors. There were quite a few presents received. A
lovely dinner was served and everyone had a jolly good time, all returning home
toward evening, wishing her many happy returns of the day.
Mr. and Mrs.
Willis J. Armitage and son Lisle visited at Mrs. Chas. Kayhart's last Sunday.
Theo. Brown and family visited at Mr. Tom Freeman's near Greenwood last
Sunday.
Chas. Northup has his sawmill set up on his own farm now and is
about ready to commence to do sawing for the people.
Our Sunday school
has been reorganized, Ellsworth West is Supt., S.E. Morse Asst. Supt., Sec'y,
Mary Chase, Treas. Earnest Hannah, teachers Bibles, Ellsworth West, young
people's class, Mrs. W.K. Armitage, intermediate, Mrs. E. Fradette, primary,
Mrs. S.E. Morse, missionary Treas., Roxy Chase.
