Neillsville Local News

W. S. Tafts accompanied Mr. Frank Downing to Waupun last Thursday. Downing gets three years in states prison for breaking in at Abbotsford, Wis.

Pat Peterson was hit in the head by a flying hub in the hub and spoke factory last Wednesday. He was hurt severely but will recover.

The club dance Saturday was a great success.

Gus Dueitch came up from Chili Saturday to spend Sunday.

Rev. Trimm’s lecture was so poorly attended that he concluded to postpone it indefinitely. Probably due to the stormy weather.

A party of ten young people visited Miss Mert Beardsley’s school last week.

The Neillsville High School has formed a literary society.

George J. Smith lectured at Chili last Tuesday evening on the life of Savonasola. The lecture was well attended.

A debating society was formed last Saturday composing of - Guy Eddison, Chas. Gilman, Gus Dueitch, Lynn Jaseph, Mr. McGuinas, and George J. Smith.
