Jas. Tompkins has been taking a vacation for the
past week, visiting relatives at Granton.
Messrs. Potter, Weast and
Hubble took advantage of the good weather and sleighing (?) last week and filled
their ice houses.
Ray Potter spent Sunday under the parental roof.
The people of the River Square reminded Mrs. Syth that she had a birthday
Wednesday, by assembling there in the evening where a very enjoyable time was
had by all. A bountiful repast was served at midnight, after which the people
returned to their homes.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Quast spent Sunday afternoon at
Jas. Syth's.
Mrs. Jas. Tompkins received a visit from her father and
mother of Christie on Sunday.
Agnes Quast is having a week's vacation
from her sewing duties, owing to the sickness of her employer.
Mr. and
Mrs. Ben Stanley took in the birthday party of the latter's mother at her home
in Christie last Friday.
Quite a number from this vicinity took in a good
time at the firemen's dance at Greenwood on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Heaslett were Sunday visitors at Julius Ware's.
