LOCAL AND PERSONAL ITEMS
Miss Ahueda Blank spent the week end in Thorp and Miss Gina Honstad in Stanley.
Miss Marie Potter and Gina Honstad visited Miss Blank in Thorp Sunday.
Mrs. Albert Klessig and Miss Bertha Kraut spent Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Henry Machlett.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kraut and two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Jens and son visited at Chilton.
Mrs. Ernest Stockmeyer visited friends at Dorchester Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Mundt and family spent Sunday with friends at Medford.
Mrs. Fred Pudlas spent Thursday with relatives at Chippewa Falls.
The next Community meeting will be held at the Village Hall Saturday evening Nov. 10th.
Anton Olson visited at Otto Olson’s Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Koerner autoed to Abbotsford on day last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Marquardt, Mr. and Mrs. Christ Klessig visited the Chas. Marquardt home last Thursday evening.
Mrs. Walter Leuth is visiting relatives at Manitowoc and West Bend, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Klessig, Alvin Theime, Miss Bertha Kraut, Marie Potter and Almeda Blank went to Owen Monday night to hear Father Flannagan’s Boys.
A number of people from Curtiss have attended the Pancake Feed at Owen and some of them have been fortunate in securing the dollar for catching the foot ball.
Ernest Theime transacted business in Owen Friday.
Mrs. Henry Bublitz autoed to Marshfield Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. W. Williams retuned last Thursday from Tomahawk, where she has been visiting the past two weeks.
Theodore Thompson was a Curtiss business caller Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. H. Plockleman and family motored to Medford Friday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Schwaudt drove out to Mrs. Schwaudt’s mothers for over Sunday.
Lawrence Liberty was an early caller at Curtiss Saturday.
Otto Peterson and his father Clark were in Curtiss on business Sat.
Burton Farker was an early Curtiss barber shopper Saturday.
Louis Schroeder has put new sills under the soft drink parlor. It did need it very much and is an added improvement to the place.
C. H. Ravy has housed in his north porch a pump so it will be more pleasant to get a pail of water now.

Edwin Peterson was a shopper in Curtiss Wednesday.
Miss Viola Schroeder spent Wednesday afternoon at Marshfield.
Miss Margaret Bauer, who teaches near Holway attended the school board convention at Medford Friday.
Will Miller and wife left Tuesday morning for Idaho to work in the cheese factory for Fred Laabs. His goods will follow later. Mr. Miller drove through with a car.
GREEN GROVE NEWS ITEMS
Henry Krueger arrived from Minneapolis Wednesday evening and spent the evening with Mr. and Mrs. Julius Kobs.
Mrs. Chas. Zieler of Brillion spent from Tuesday until Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Winkel.
Rev. M. Goetsch called at the Woodland School Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Winkel and son Alex returned Tuesday evening form Brillion, where they attended the funeral of Mrs. Winkel’s mother on Sunday last.
Edmund Rahn spent a few days of last week at Chilton, Plymouth and Brillion. Henry Krueger is visiting relatives and friends at Waukesha and Sheboygan.
Hugo Kobs has been doing chores for Wm. Winkel while he was called to Brillion.
Mrs. Ernest Rahn and son, Edmund, Otto Rahn, Mrs. Will Winkel and Mrs. Chas Ziegler drove up to Merrill and Wausau on Thursday. Fine roads were reported.
Miss Martha Buss, who spent the forepart of the week at Neillsville returned home Thursday.
The Green Grove Ladies Aid will meet with Mrs. August Woik Friday November 2nd.
Marie Huebuer left Friday morning for Sheboygan, where she intends to spend the winter.
Mrs. Richard Glenzer and Miss Helen Larson drove to Curtiss last Wednesday to do some shopping.
Adolph Mundt went to Medford Thursday on business.
