Robt. Clark came up from Mauston last week, to attend the funeral of his brother Hugh
Mrs. R. Worden and her son Guy are both reported as being very ill, the former with rheumatism, the latter with quinsy.
Mr. Drake, who runs the edger in the sawmill, has been laid up for several days with a lame side.
Mrs. Inez Babcock, oldest daughter of the Hugh Clark, and her two little daughters came from Millbank, So. Dakota, last week.
A daughter was born to Otto Warner and wife, Feb 12.
Alonzo Ruscher, who has been quite ill, is now able to be out again.
L. M. Cornell and family of Thorp were visitors at this place several days last week. Mr. C. purchased the well known driving horse "Fanny J." of S. S. Warner.
Jos. Powell was down from Broederville last week. He reports the logging business as being lively up his way this winter.
The Ladies’ Aid Society held a very interesting meeting, with the usual 5c supper in the evening, at the residence of L Hutchins last Wednesday.
The remains of the late Hugh L. Clark, whose tragic death was mentioned in the different newspapers last week, accompanied by a large concourse of friends were taken to Thorp Saturday, and interred in the Catholic Cemetery
