Mrs. Edith Earl
Mrs. Edith Earl, 83, died at her home in Abbotsford
Tuesday, June 1, at 11:50 a.m. The
body will lie in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home at Abbotsford beginning
Thursday noon. On Friday at noon it
will be taken to the First Presbyterian church at Abbotsford.
The Rev. Charles E. Glidden will conduct services at 2 o’clock and
interment will be made in the Abbotsford cemetery.
Mrs. Earl was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Mrs. Earl was born at Abbotsford Feb. 3, 1882, and spent
all of her life in Abbotsford. She
was educated in the Abbotsford schools.
The former Edith Dorenberg was married to John B. Thompson and they
operated the Thompson Hotel in Abbotsford.
Mr. Thompson died Nov. 4, 1936.
Her second marriage was to Fred Earl, retired mail
carrier, who also preceded his wife in death.
She is survived by three step-children: Mrs. Alvin (Adeline) Anderson of La Belle, Fla., Mrs. Louis (Edna) Cattanach of Boscobel, and Charles Earl of Cedar Rapids, Ia. A number of grand children and nieces and nephews also survive.
