Humbird (23 July 1970)

Mr. and Mrs. Levi Fitzmaurice called Tuesday at the Ray Duxbury home in rural Merrillan. Both Mr. and Mrs. Duxbury are in poor health.

Mr. and Mrs. James Lightfoot and family and their married daughter and husband were guests Thursday of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Lightfoot.

Weekend guests at the Polege home were Mr. and Mrs. Willis Johnson and children of Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Harland Meyers and family of Cedar Falls, the Fred Barnowskis from Wausau; and Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rink of Watertown were overnight guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Ziehlsdarf of Milwaukee were overnight guests Friday of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Johnson.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Fitzmaurice of Janesville are visiting his mother, Mrs. Helen Fitzmaurice, and other relatives in this area.

Miss Elsie John had been quite ill and is still a patient in the Black River Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Everett Senske and two boys of St. Paul were weekend guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Kirby.

Mr. and Mrs. Claire Robelia of Milwaukee visited Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Will F. Hein.

Mrs. Lyle Martin is a patient in a Marshfield hospital. We are happy to report she shows improvement.

Mr. and Mrs. George Zuehlke of Loyal was Sunday evening guest of their daughter, Mrs. Roy Johnson.

Henry Speilman and Victor Lindburg of St. Croix Falls spent several days recently at the Archie Kirby home.

Arne Seelow and daughter, Kathy, of Milwaukee, have been visiting at the A. L. Kirby home. Mr. Seelow returned home Friday, but Kathy is remaining for a longer visit with her grandparents.

Mrs. Helene Nelson of Eau Claire was a dinner guest Sunday of her mother, Mrs. Maude Newton. In the afternoon they attended the Silver anniversary of their sister and daughter respectively, Mrs. Thane Joos, and her husband, of rural Alma Center.

Mr. and Mrs. Bert Skaar of Hixton spent Saturday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Perle Pickett.

Mrs. Neva Aeschbacher and daughter, Mrs. Dick Sieg, and children of Hortonville, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Carroll of Lombard, Ill.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Fitzmaurice and family of Augusta spent Sunday with the home folks.

Mrs. Belle Mazola of Roselle, Ill., spent last week with her mother, Mrs. Christine Hansen.

Among those from here attending the Silver wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Thane Joos of Alma Center were: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Markham, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stuve and n. S. Fristad.

Mr. and Mrs. Mel Hansen of Greenwood and their daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Brown, and her two children, of Minneapolis, visited Sunday with Mrs. Christine Hansen.
