Draper, Flora (26 Nov 1873-09 Feb 1966)
Mrs. Frank Draper, age 92, Loyal,
died at 5 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, at the Clark County Hospital, Owen. She
had a resident there for eight years. Cause of death was due to old age
complications.
Services were held at the Myre Funeral Home on Saturday,
February 12 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Paul Doering officiated and burial was made in
the Pine Grove Cemetery.
The former Flora Sitts was born November 26,
1873, near Loyal. She was a pioneer resident of Loyal. Lived in and near Loyal
all her life. Her parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sitts were one of the first
settlers of this community. They came here in 1865 from Dodge County and
homesteaded land east and north of Loyal. At this time Loyal wasn’t here. The
closest town was Neillsville.
March 30, 1898 she married John Vogel who
passed away February 19,1912. Her second marriage to Horace Draper took place
May 3, 1922 and he died September 20, 1922.
Pallbearers were Glen
Doering, Henry Boe, H. E. Catlin, Lawrence Welsh, Julius Ehlert and Ray Prior.
Mrs. Paul Doering was the soloist and she sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and
“Safe In The Arms of Jesus,” Mrs. Ryron Zepplin was the organist.
She is
survived by one son Ray Vogel, Owen; six grandchildren; eleven
great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Edna Cone of Loyal.
She was
preceded in death by two sons Lyle in infancy and Roy in 1959. Also three
sisters, two brothers and one granddaughter.

Milwaukee; Mrs. Eva Vogel and Mr. and Mrs. John Vogel and children, Wisconsin
Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Valiesky, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rattary,
Wheeler; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Newman and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Boehning,
Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Vogel, Greenwood; and many other friends and
relatives from the surrounding area.
