Kuester, Barbara Ann
(Marriage - 18 July 1970)
Miss Barbara Ann Kuester, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Edward Kuester of Rt. 3 Neillsville, was united in marriage to Bruce Wayne
Opelt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Opelt of Rt. 2 Neillsville, July 18 at 2 p.m.
The service was performed in the United Church of Christ in Neillsville, with
the Rev. Gale Wolf in charge.
The bride wore a floor-length, A-line gown
in Edwardian style, of imported rayon organza over taffeta with Venetian lace on
the bodice and around the detachable Watteau train. A bouffant veil fell from a
face framer Camelot of Venetian lace. She carried an arrangement of yellow roses
and daisies, as she was escorted to the altar by her father.
Miss Sharon
Lueck was maid-of-honor, and Miss Debra Ayers, Mrs. Walter Quicker and Mrs.
Harold Eddy were bridesmaids. They wore yellow sheer marquisette-over-linen
material dresses, with green ribbon trim down the back. They carried baskets of
yellow and white daisies.
Steve Opelt was bestman. Randall Opelt, Walter
Quicker and Harold Eddy were groomsmen. Usher was David Opelt.
Miss Mary
Peters sang, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.
A supper was held at the
American Legion Hall and a reception was held at the bride’s home. A dance was
held later at the Silver Dome.
The bride graduated from Neillsville High
School May 28. The groom attended the same high school. They are making their
home on Rt. 3, Neillsville where he is engaged in farming.
