Zrutskie, Eleanore (22 JUN 1920 - 27 JUL 1939)
Funeral services were held from Julians Funeral Home at Rockford, Ill., for Miss Eleanore Evelyn Zrutskie on Monday morning with the Rev. J. Powers officiating.
Miss Zrutskie was fatally inured when the Plymouth coupe in which she and Harry C. Hogan of Rockford, were riding, struck the south side of a narrow Chicago and Northwestern Railroad underpass nine miles west of Rockford. The accident happened at 11:30 on Thursday night. Both victims were taken to a Rockford Hospital where death occurred to both about two hours later. Consciousness never returned to either of the victims. Identification of Miss Zrutskie was made through a Social Security card.
Eleanore Zrutskie was born in the Town of Holton (Marathon Co., Wis.), June 22, 1920. she lived there until the death of her mother in 1937, when she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Howard bender, at Dorchester, Wis. In March she left for Rockford to be with her sister. Mrs. Adeline Gregory, while she sought employment. She visited relatives and friends here recently when she was an attendant at her brother’s marriage.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Adeline Gregory of Rockford and Mrs. Hoard Bender of Dorchester, and two brothers, Harry and Clarence of Abbotsford, Wis.
Among those from here who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Zrutskie, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meske, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Meske of Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bender of Dorchester, Wis.
