Filmore, Bertha (JUN 1877 - 22 AUG 1939)

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Jack Filmore, sister of Frank Wiese, at Dorchester, Saturday morning at nine o’clock at St. Louis Catholic Church. The Rev. Philip T. Weller officiated at the requiem high mass and burial was made in Dorchester Cemetery.

The pallbearers were: Francis, Kenneth and Clarence Wiese, Frank and Lawrence Weber and Joe Elfert, all relatives of the deceased.

Mrs. Filmore was born Bertha Wiese in Dorchester, June 1877. She grew to womanhood there and for many years has made her home in St. Paul, where she died, Tuesday, Aug. 22nd, 1939, in St. Joseph’s Hospital. Pneumonia caused her death at the age of 62 years.

Among those from away who attended the funeral were her husband, Jack Filmore, William McKee and John Olson of St. Paul; her brother, Frank Wiese, and family of Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Val Lucas, daughters, Valerie and Barbara Lynn, Miss Helen and Clarence Wiese and Leonard Polowiski, all of Milwaukee; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Weber and sons of Dorchester, Wis.
