Dux, Judith Eileen
(Marriage - 25 July 1970)
Miss Judith Eileen Dux, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Verland Dux of Rt. 2 Loyal, was united in marriage to Richard Edward Meyer,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Meyer of Rt. 2 Loyal, Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at
Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. The Rev. William Humlie performed the double
ring ceremony. He was assisted by Msgr. Norbert E. King. Three hundred thirty
guests attended.
The bride wore a white Chantilace and nylon organza gown
with a train, and wore a matching headpiece with a two-tiered bouffant veil. She
carried a bouquet of white orchids with cascading garlands of white button
‘mums, ivy and baby’s breath, as she was escorted to the altar by her father.
Miss Kathleen Dux, sister of the bride, was maid-of-honor. Mrs. Sharon
Counard, Miss Brenda Noeldner and Mrs. Bonnie Becker were bridesmaids. They wore
identical floor-length empire gowns with accordion pleated sleeves, in shades of
yellow, pink, blue, and wore matching headpieces with short veils. They carried
cascades of carnations to match their dresses.
Larry Meyer was bestman.
Fredrick Meyer, Ronald Meyer and Daniel Meyer were groomsmen. Kenneth Dux and
Allen Meyer were ushers.
Mr. and Mrs. Vern Dahlby sang “The 23rd Psalm,”
and Mr. Dahlby sang “The Lord’s Prayer.” They were accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth
Voss.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.
The
bride graduated in 1966 from Loyal High School and has been a receptionist at
the office of the Clark County Department of Social Services in Neillsville. The
groom graduated from Loyal High School in 1959 and is engaged in farming. After
a wedding trip to the west, the couple will make their home on Rt. 1 Unity.
