Hoffman, Dorothy E. (22 Feb. 1931 - 10 Sept. 2008)

SPENCER Dorothy E. Hoffman, 77, of Spencer, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at the House of the Dove under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Spencer. The Rev. Charles Stoetzel will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in West Spencer Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Christ the King Catholic Church.

Dorothy was born Feb. 22, 1931, in the town of Unity, to Albert and Ellen (Morrison) Hoffman. Dorothy attended Unity Public School. She lived and worked on the family farm until 1975 when she moved to the village of Spencer.

Dorothy is survived by her brother, James Hoffman of Spencer; a sister, Winifred (Frederick) Kerksieck of Spencer; nieces and nephews; and her cat, Susan.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents. Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Spencer, is assisting the family with arrangements.
