Klovas, Rosalie Marie (11 Mar. 1922 - 12 Sept. 2008)
THORP Rosalie Marie Klovas, 86, of Thorp, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. today at Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. Burial will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation was from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a 6:45 p.m. Thorp American Legion Auxiliary service and a 7 p.m. rosary service Monday at Thorp Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Rosalie was born March 11, 1922, in Thorp, the daughter of Jacob and Petronella (Jarocki) Niedzwiecki. She was united in marriage to George M. Klovas on Oct. 25, 1947, at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. They began their married life living in Kenosha, before moving back to Thorp in 1951, where they farmed until retirement.
Rosalie is survived by her husband, George; three sons, James of Elma, Wash., Jerry, Puyallup, Wash., Ronald (Lynn), Thorp; two daughters, Jeanne Frenette and MaryBeth (Gary) Petersen, both of Thorp; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Niedzwiecki; and two sisters, Marie Chudy and Leona Hadzima.
