Staples, Lydia #2 (4 JUN 1864 - 29 OCT 1939)
Mrs. Lydia Staples died at her home two and one half miles west of Abbotsford on Sunday morning at ten o’clock. Death was caused by carcinoma and complications of age.
Lydia Staples was born Lydia Gardenier in Green Lake county, June 4, 1864. On May 22, 1889 she was united in marriage to Albert M. Staples also of Green Lake County.
Three children survive. Miss Nellie Staples and Ray of Abbotsford; Guy of Titusville, Penn. Her husband and daughter Grace preceded her in death.
Two brothers, Ray and Henry Gardenier of Markesan and one grandchild also survive.
Dr. E. L. Hoover of the Presbyterian Church conducted the funeral services at 1:30 from the home. Interment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Ed Stock, Peter Beyerl, Martin Larson, Alfred and Oscar Herrmann, Gerald Jerobek.
