Korntved, George L. #2 (26 FEB 1919 - 29 NOV 1939)
George Leonard Korntved was interred in the Curtiss, Wis. (Clark Co., Wis.) Cemetery after funeral service which were conducted Monday afternoon at two o’clock at the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) at Owen. The Rev. J. H. Rostad, pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance at Owen, officiated.
Pallbearers were former classmates of the deceased. They were Merle Jenks, Fred Garbrecht, Otto Benz, Albert Delvis, Arlie Terrio and Emery Kuehnast.
Those who took charge of floral offerings were Mrs. Katherine Guenther, Mrs. Chester Klieber, Miss Alice Kramer and Miss Gladys Ingersoll.
Leonard Korntved was born in Curtiss, Feb. 26, 1919. He attended grad school and three years of high school at Abbotsford, followed by two years in CCC camps.
On Wednesday, Nov. 29, 1939, he was fatally injured while hunting deer alone near Redville.
He is survived by his father, George Korntved, step-mother, two brothers, Jess and Alvin,a nd two sister, Helen and Eunice.
