Langrehr, Gloria Rose (Marriage - 1949)
The Immanuel Lutheran Church parsonage in Marshfield was the recent scene of the wedding of Miss Gloria Rose Langrehr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Langrehr of Granton, R2, and Ernest Porath, son of Mrs. Lillie Porath, Granton R2. The Rev. G. M. Krueger performed the ceremony.
Mrs. Lawrence Langrehr, sister-in-law of the bride, and Lawrence Langrehr, brother of the bride and Mrs. Elmer Steffen and Glenn Porath, a cousin of the groom were attendants.
The bride wore a white suit dress with white accessories and a corsage of white gardenias surrounded by pink rosebuds. The pearl necklace she wore was a gift of the groom. The bride’s attendants were attired in aqua and pink respectively.
Following the ceremony a supper was served to relatives and friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bartsch with the bride’s parents as hosts. The house was decorated with white, pink and aqua streamers with a three tier wedding cake centering the table.
The couple is residing on a farm following their honeymoon to northern Wisconsin.
Out-of-town guests attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Porath and family of La Crosse, Mrs. Hattie Kruse of Rochester, Minn.; Mrs. Buelah Henke of La Crosse, William Able of La Crosse, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Langrehr, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Langrehr of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wiesner of Neillsville and Mrs. Jennie Porath and family of Owen.
