Corinth, Wis. - Feb. 28, 1918

Mrs. William Hargraves is on the sick list.

Albert Gierl was at Colby on business Wednesday.

Mrs. Paul Domke was at Abbotsford between trains Thursday.

George W. Lipperts, of Athens, made a business trip to Corinth Monday.

Leo Marquardt, of Wausau, visited with friends here from Friday until Monday.

Mrs. Anton Stallman spent the time between trains with friends at Milan last Saturday.

Miss Emma Lange, of Unity, is visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Walter Meyers.

Miss Hattie Proft, who had the misfortune to break one of her legs some time ago, is getting along nicely.

Eugene Bhend returned Saturday to the Great Lakes Training Station after spending a week with his parents here.

Miss Edna Bube, Mrs. Paul Domke and Mrs. Anna Pazdernick visited with Mrs. Fred Bhend last Friday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Art Evan went to Frankfort Sunday to spend the day with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Bielke.

Mrs. Harry Evan and son Harvey visited with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kallen, at Milan Saturday and Sunday.

Mrs. Ernst Harry and her sister, Miss Emma Bahr, returned last Saturday from St. Louis where they had been spending the past two months.

Ernest Bhend returned this week to his home at Akron, Colorado, after spending a few days here with his relatives, the Bhend families.

The following are among those who were called to Wausau last week for military examination: Wm. Gaiser, Bodo Bube, John Mayar and Arthur Krouse.

Mrs. Alex Evan and children returned last Tuesday from Athens where they had been visiting at the home of Mrs. Evan’s mother, Mrs. H. Blank, for the past two weeks.

Corinth has sent the following articles to the Athens branch of the Red Cross since February 2nd: Five sweaters, 2 hospital jackets, 1 pair pajamas, 7 pairs wristlets, 15 pairs booties.

Mr. and Mrs. Helmut Evan entertained a number of guests Saturday evening. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Art Evan, Dora and Edwin Evan, Miss Elsie Sletz and Charles Raysky.
