Clinton, Martha (19 DEC 1883 – 21 Apr 1916)
Mrs. Arthur Clinton died at
her home in this city on Friday, April 21st. She was born Martha Fisher to Mr.
and Mrs. M. Fisher in the town of Levis on Dec. 19, 1883, and in 1904 she moved
to this city with her parents. On January 22, 1910, she was united in marriage
to Arthur Clinton of this city and they made their home in this city practically
ever since. Mrs. Clinton was a woman of splendid personality, a good mother and
efficient wife and she won and held the esteem of all who knew her. Her death is
a matter of sincere regret to all her friends and acquaintances in this city.
She is survived by her husband and five children, Lena, Beulah, Helen, Laura and
Lawrence. She is also survived by her mother, two sisters and five brothers, who
are: Mrs. Maggie Bishop of Centralia, Wash.; Mrs. Agnes Rodman, John, George and
Harvey of Neillsville; Joe of Hoquainn, Mich., and Spencer of Great Falls, Mont.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, interment being made in the Neillsville
Cemetery.
