Kuester, Edward Erwin
(4 June 1915 - 11 August 1970)
Funeral services for Edward (Ted) Kuester,
55, of Christie who died Tuesday at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, will be
held Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The body will lie in
state today (Thursday) at 9 a.m. The Rev. Wayne Lura of Fairchild will officiate
at the service. Burial will be made in the West Side Cemetery in Greenwood.
Mr. Kuester was born June 4, 1915, to Henry and Mamie (Mund) Kuester in the
Town of Warner. He did truck driving for many years and operated a milk route
and also operated the Christie Tavern for the last 25 years. He was married to
the former Irma Buker on October 2, 1937, in Dubuque, Ia.
Survivors
include: his wife; five children, Mrs. William (Maxine) Hanson of Marshfield,
Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Weiner of Kansasville, Mrs. Wallace (Janette) Quicker,
Mrs. Bruce (Barbara) Opelt, and Henry, all of Neillsville; two sisters, Mrs. Joe
(Leona) Boe of Spencer and Mrs. Norman (Lila) DeCremer of Tacoma, Wash.; a
brother, John, of Rockford, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.
