Four Years in the Navy
Frank Jordan arrived home last Thursday from Philadelphia, having been given his honorable discharge papers from the U.S. Navy on Nov. 5th at the end of four years of service. Frank says he will never regret enlisting in the service as he is in perfect health and has gained a world of experience. With the exception of a few months spent on a training ship he has been on the U.S. Battleship "Frederick," and at the time of his discharge was chief blacksmith on the ship to which position he received his promotion quite a while ago. During the war his ship made fourteen trips back and forth across the ocean and in his four years of service he has visited ports in many foreign countries. He leaves for Mellen tomorrow where he has accepted a position in the shops of the Foster-Latimer Lumber Co.
