O. R. Briggs has sold his drug store fixtures and stock of drugs to C. A. Nelson, of Waupaca, who will take possession on or about next Jan. 1st. Mr. Briggs retains the living rooms on the second floor where himself and family will continue to live. The optical department on the first floor is also retained and Mr. Briggs will continue in the optical business as usual.
That is the second time that Mr. Briggs has disposed of the Colby Drug Store. He built the building and started in business in 1902, and after a proprietorship of about two year sold out to W. G. Atwell, and he and his wife went west where they remained for about three years. When they returned from the west Mr. Briggs bought the business back from Mr. Atwell and has continued to run it ever since.
The Colby Drug Store is one of the best equipped and well stocked drug stores as can be found in any town of this size in the state, and the people of Colby and vicinity are indeed fortunate in having such a fine up-to-date store from which to supply their wants in that line.
The new proprietor and his family will move to Colby within a few weeks, and we all hope that he will find the people of this section agreeable to them and that he will enjoy the same pleasant relations with the trade as has his predecessor.
