Rev. J. G. Vance and family left for Menominee, Wis., yesterday, to which place they previously shipped their household goods. Mr. Vance has decided to quit the ministry and will start a four years’ course in industrial arts at the Stout Manual Training School next month. When the course is finished he expects to take up teaching or enter some vocation for which he has then become fitted.

The people of Colby are indeed sorry to have them leave here. During the two years that Mr. Vance has been the pastor of our M.E. church he has worked wonders in building up the congregation and many other things for the betterment of this community. He has always been ready and willing when called upon to take part in public affairs and his ability as a public speaker will be greatly missed. His fairness and broadmindedness has endeared him in the hearts of all our people who will sincerely wish himself and family much comfort and happiness in their new home.
