Flynn, Lynda Beth
(Marriage - 9 August 1970)
Miss Lynda Beth Flynn, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Thomas Flynn of Neillsville, was united in marriage to Richard Allen Urban,
son of Mr and Mrs. Joe Urban, Jr., also of Neillsville, Sunday afternoon in
Neillsville in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. The Rev.
Norman Lindloff performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of 150
guests.
The bride was attired in an off-white polyester gown, accented
with white embroider lace, with a standup collar and long sleeves. A petal head
piece was fashioned with a short veil. She carried a bouquet of white
stephanotis as she was escorted to the altar by her father.
Miss Connie
Patey was maid-of-honor and Mrs. Tom (Mary Beth) Rabe was bridesmaid. They wore
blue and pink floral empire waist gowns, with blue ribbons at the waists, and
wore blue illusion headpieces. They carried bouquets of blue carnations with
white baby’s breath.
James Simek was bestman and Charles Urban was
groomsman. Ushers were R. Tim Harvey and Max Kapfer. Organist was Victor
Lehmann. The church altar was decorated in pink gladioli and daisies.
A
reception was held later at the Wildcat Inn, with 150 guests attending.
The bride graduated from Neillsville High School in 1969 and is a secretary and
receptionist at WCCN radio station. The groom was graduated from Neillsville
High School in 1965 and from the University of Stevens Point in 1969. He is in
the army and will be stationed at Fort Hood Tex.
