Paul home Saturday night.

Carl Keiner and Gale Hiles were Marshfield visitors Tuesday.
Oscar
and Walter Jorenby were Greenwood visitors Sunday.
J.T. Jackson, a former
resident near Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), died there at the home of his son late
Sunday afternoon. The body was taken to Viroqua yesterday for burial. An
obituary will be printed next week.
Mrs. Jos. Merkel was a Marshfield
visitor last Friday.
Rev. Kitzerow and family moved to Howard's Grove
last Friday where they will reside.
Mrs. Nellie Overhouse and son Robert
returned home Wednesday from Castalia, Iowa, where they attended the funeral of
her father, who was laid to rest in the Frankville Cemetery beside the mother
who preceded him in death 18 months ago.
Henry Jorenby was taken to the
Mendota Asylum Saturday for treatment, being somewhat deranged mentally. His
many friends here hope he will get along nicely and will soon be able to return
home.
A number of ladies had a party on Mrs. Brockway at the Wescott home
Monday afternoon. The occasion was Mrs. Brockway's birthday. All present greatly
enjoyed the afternoon and wished her many more such happy birthdays.
Martin Mayer of Rockford, Ill. arrived here Monday for a short visit with his
son Paul.
Miss Marion Hartson entertained the Octet Club at her home
Tuesday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Pickruhn went to Kiel, Wis. Tuesday,
called there by the death of Mr. Pickruhn's sister.
The Ladies' Aid
"Sack Sale" will be held in the church basement starting at 2:00 o'clock Friday
afternoon, April 17.
Mr. R.E. McIntyre of Eau Claire is spending the week
here with his family.
L.G. Clute received a car load of Overland
automobiles Monday.
Mrs. H.E. Hogue and daughter Edna were Marshfield
visitors last Saturday.
Dr. R.L. Barnes and Ed Fahey were Marshfield
visitors Monday.
Gordon, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Decker of
Thorp, had one of his hands blown off last Wednesday when he found a dynamite
cap. Mr. Decker, the father of the boy, is well known here where he worked in
different cheese factories in and around Greenwood several years ago.
Mrs. N.J. Carter, Mrs. R.H. Clute and Mrs. Mary Warner autoed to Marshfield last
Thursday.
Dr. and Mrs. K.W. Baker and children of Owen visited at the
home of Mrs. S. Scribner Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Becher of Marshfield
called on friends here Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Varney and son of Wausau
spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. N.J. Carter.
Mrs. Geo. Speich returned
home from Unity last Saturday where she spent several days with relatives and
friends.
J.F. Roewert of Janesville spent several days of last week at
the Wm. Roewert home.
Rug Buker went to Iron Mountain, Mich. Monday,
where he will resume his work as a member of an orchestra at that place.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moberg and children of Abbotsford spent Sunday here at the
Ole Moberg home.
