Lindow, John (14 April 1868 - 26 June 1949)

Funeral services for John Lindow, 81, a retired farmer, were held Tuesday afternoon from the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Chili, the Rev. Raymond H. Browe officiating. Interment took place in the church cemetery. He died Sunday in Marshfield.

Mr. Lindow was born April 14, 1868, in Calumet County, and was married there July 28, 1892, to Ida Luckow. She preceded him in death.

He lived on his father’s farm until he grew to manhood. In 1890 he came to Clark County settling in the Town of Fremont. He and his son, Amos, moved onto a farm near Loyal in 1939, and for the past four years he had been a resident of the city of Loyal.

Surviving are four children: Arthur of Westfield; Amos of Loyal; Mrs. Leland (Clara) Gerber of Chili; and Roy of Spencer; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Amiel, of Granton; and a sister, Mrs. Emil Haberland of Berlin.
