PIONEER ABBOTSFORD FARMER IS BURIED AT COLBY
Fred Fietense who died Saturday were conducted from the home at 2 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon, with interment following in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. The Rev. E. H. Hoover officiated.
Fred Fietense was born August 15, 1871 in Germany. At the age of 12 he came to America. On June 23, 1904 he was married to Emma Marquardt Kaester at Sheboygan Falls. They made their home there for two years when they moved to their farm east of Abbotsford and have resided there since.
The deceased is survived by his widow, four children: Walter, at home; Mrs. Marvin Voelter, Ogema; Mrs. Wayne Pope, Weyauwega; Mrs. Charles Truchinski, Pittsville; one foster son, Arthur Kaester, Sheboygan; a sister, Mrs. Frank Pfleger, of Plymouth; and seven grandchildren.
The pallbearers were Wm. Brunner, Gust Hintz, Jack Young, Wm. Hintz, J. W. Horn, Chesley Cramer.
Those in charge of the many and beautiful floral offerings were: Mrs. Otto Koeppen, Mrs. Chesley Cramer, Miss Meta Cimbal, Miss Leona Koeppen.
Relatives from away who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Marquardt, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Marquardt, Sheboygan Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Truchinski and family and Wm. Truchinski, Pittsville; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pope, Weyauwega; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Voelter and family, Ogema.
