WEDDING PERFORMED AT MILAN LUTHERAN CHURCH
Miss Mollie Anna Wiese and Raymond Charles Gumz, both of Milan, were united in marriage Saturday afternoon at a ceremony performed by the Rev. George Groh, pastor of the Milan Lutheran church, at Milan.
The bride, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wiese, Milan, wore a floor-length gown of aqua-blue satin with finger-tip veil and carried pink and white carnations.
Miss Alma Koehnke, Milan, who was the bride’s only attendant wore a floor-length gown of canary yellow satin and carried carnations, daffodils and snapdragons.
Carl Wiese, brother of the bride, served as best man.
Forty guests were entertained at a reception and wedding dinner in the evening at the home of the bridegroom’s mother, Mrs. Amanda Gumz, at Dorchester, Wis. The house was decorated for the occasion with streamers of aqua, yellow and white and cut flowers. Guests from away included Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kohnas, Weyauwega, Mrs. E. R. Johnas, Goodrich, and Mr. and Mrs. K. P. Pophal, Waupaca.
Mr. and Mrs. Gumz are to spend a week at Waupaca and will be at home to friends after May 1 on their farm near Milan.
