Dilly, Infant (? - 1920)
A peculiar incident resulting in the death of a small child, is reported from up near Rhinelander by the Rhinelander New North. Donald Dilly and family were autoing from one small town to another when ahead of them in the road they saw two buck deer fighting with horns locked. Mr. Dilly ran the car up close to more clearly see the fight when one of the deer backed the other against the car, forcing it to the ditch. When all was righted again the mother discovered an infant, which she carried in her arms, to have been killed, very likely by compact of the deer against the car. Pittsville Record
