Stiemke, Lorraine (Marriage - 30 July 1949)
Miss Lorraine Stiemke, daughter of Mrs. Bertha Stiemke of Neillsville, became the bride of Ralph Gottschalk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gottschalk of Milwaukee, in a double-ring ceremony performed at 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon, July 30, 1949. The Rev. H. C. Tesch performed the ceremony in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The bride’s sister, Mrs. John Arganek of Milwaukee, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Dolores Brewer and Miss Marcella Oppermann, both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Little Miss Donna Mae Steinke of Milwaukee served as flower girl.
The grooms’ attendants were Burton Model of Milwaukee as bestman, and Arthur Jahncke and John Arganek, both of Milwaukee, as ushers.
A wedding dinner was served after the ceremony, with a reception and dance following at the Jefferson Hall.
The groom is a graduate of Rufus King High School in Milwaukee with the class of 1942. He also attended Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. The bride graduated from the Neillsville High School with the class of 1944 and since has been employed as a bookkeeper with a manufacturing concern in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
After a week’s honeymoon to Port Arthur, Canada, the couple will make their home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
