Milton, Gloria Dephane (Marriage - 10 August 1949)
Gloria Dephane Milton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Milton of Neillsville, became the bride of Charles W. Svetlik, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Svetlik, Sr., also of Neillsville, in a single ring ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Wednesday, August 10, 1949, at 9 a.m.
The ceremony was performed by Fr. John J. Pritzl before 150 guests.
The bride wore a white satin gown. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and fleur de amour.
Genevieve Burckhard served as her maid of honor. She was dressed in orchid satin and carried yellow gladioli.
Thomas Svetlik, brother of the groom, acted as groomsman.
A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents for 75 guests.
The young couple left on a two-week honeymoon in the west, after which they will be at home at 159 North Grand Avenue.
The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and of Groves-Barnhart School for secretaries at Madison. She is employed by the Neillsville Production Credit Association.
The groom is a graduate of Cadott High School. He has B. S. Degree from Eau Claire State Teachers College. He also received meteorological training in the army air force at Chanute Field, Rantoul, Ill. He is in charge of the farm implement department of the Svetlik Motor Company.
