Married November 7th at two p.m. in St.
John’s Lutheran church at Withee by the Rev. Leroy Urman were Miss Patricia Ann
Bruchert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Bruchert, and John William Leibke,
son of Mr. and Mr. George Sorensen, all of Withee.
Organist for the
nuptial ceremony was Mrs. Herman Rabeke ,while Miss Diane Burhop sang “The
Lord’s Prayer and “O Promise Me.” Two bouquets of gladiolus were on the altar
for the ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a
bridal gown of silk bombazine designed with chapel train, scoop neckline and
embroidered lace down the front of the bodice. Her full skirt had bows at the
back of the drop waistline.
The bridal veil was secured to a fabric rose
headpiece and her bouquet of while fuji mums was surrounded with red roses.
Miss Bonnie Anderson, the maid of honor, and Miss Nancy Hendriks, the
bridesmaid, both of Minneapolis, wore royal blue brocade floor-length formals
featuring scoop necklines and bows at the back waist. Each had a floral
arrangement.
Nick Matkovich, Willard, was the best man and Ken Madison
was the groomsman. Ushers were Peter Rheingans, Rockfield, and John Anderson,
Mauston.
The wedding reception at the Meadowview Country Club in Owen
began at four p.m. followed by a dance held at the American Legion Hall in Owen
at nine p.m.
The bride and groom attended Owen-Withee High School. She is
employed by the Continental Baking Company and the groom works for Lyndale
Automotive. They will live at 2630 Blaisdell Ave., South Minneapolis.
