Soeller, Robert #1 (7 MAY 1921 – 14 NOV 1964)

Robert Soeller, 43, Thorp, employee of Midland Cooperative, collapsed and died about 2 p.m. Monday while working in the basement of the Edward Hempelman home in rural Thorp.

Witnesses said Soeller suddenly “straightened up, stepped backwards, and toppled to the floor.” A Stanley physician pronounced him dead.

Clark County Coroner Robert Lulloff and other county authorities, after an investigation, attributed the cause of death to a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held Thursday (today), December 17th at ten a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
