Grottke, Sally Jean (1949 - 24 August 1949)
Sally Jean Grottke, the 4-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Grottke, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital August 24, 1949. Funeral services were held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church August 26, at 2 o’clock, the Rev. Adolph Schumann officiating. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Sally Jean is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Grottke, her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Grottke, and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kalsow.
Pallbearers were Jean Grottke, Janice Grottke, Ilean (Eileen) Hoffman, and Joan Grap.
Girls in charge of the flowers were Carol E. Grottke, Edna Kalsow, Ann Marie Sternitzky, Carol Gloff, Lolita Gloff and Diana Kalsow.
Persons from out of town attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Gloff and family of Milwaukee, Mrs. H. J. Amacher, and Mrs. Herman Scheeler of Abbotsford, Mrs. Faune Durni of Platteville, Mrs. Arthur Schmitz and Mrs. William Grottke of Sauk City.
