Recently home from serving overseas, Eugene A. Kraut of Curtiss, Wis. (Clark Co., Wis.) was recently married at St. Paul to Miss Lauraine Antoinette LaScotte of St. Paul. They were married at nine o’clock a.m. at St. Agnes’ Catholic Church, Kent and Thomas St.
The bride was dressed in white and wore a necklace of pearls, and carried a bouquet of white roses. The maid of honor was dressed in light blue and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The other two attendants were dressed in pink and carried a bouquet of pink roses.
The bridegroom and best man were dressed in white Palm Beach suits. The other two attendants wore navy blue suits.
After the wedding breakfast was served to thirty guests at the home of the bride.
At four o’clock p.m. dinner was served at the Hotel Commodore for thirty guests. At eight o’clock p.m. the bridal party was honored at a reception given in the Junior Pioneer Hall at 192 W. 9th St. The evening was enjoyed in dancing. Again at 12 p.m. lunch was served to 200 guests, after which the bridal couple left on their honeymoon.
The couple will be at home at 775 Portland Ave., after July 25th. The groom will be working for the Great Western R.R., as he did before he went into service.
Miss Bertha Kraut of Curtiss, with whom the groom made his home since infancy, attended the wedding. The aunt of the groom and the mother of the bride, were presented with lovely corsages of gardenias and pink roses by the bride.
